Workshop #1, June 21, 2009: Happiness - Finding Joy & Meaning in Your Life
Discover and understand the principles that will help you boost happiness in your life. This class is based on the popular book, "Happier" by Dr. Ben-Shahar.
Each participant will receive "Happiness in a Box," with 52 happiness “how to” cards to help participants implement the workshop principles throughout the year.
Workshop #2, July 19, 2009: Relationship Tune Up - 7 Principles for Healthy Couples
This 90-minute lighthearted and entertaining talk will review the seven foundational principles for being a healthy couple. It is meant as a refresher course for newly
minted and well worn couples. There will be a slide show with lecture and discussion. For attending, you will get a copy of Mary's Date by the Numbers, date night planner. It will be a way to take the theory of
what you learn in the seminar and put it into practice in your own relationship. A “One dessert, two forks!” coupon will be given to each individual/couple at the workshop for a free desert at selected Los Gatos restaurants.
Workshop #3, August 16, 2009: Rock, Paper, Scissors - Conflict Survival Guide for Couples
All couples need a way to communicate their way through conflict to resolution. Without this, resentment can pile up and cause distance instead
of connection. This workshop will use lecture, discussion and practice to develop a road map for communicating through conflict. Individuals and
couples will take home their own copy of The Conflict Guide for Couples.
